Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo was left fuming after he felt that his side should have been awarded a penalty for the second game running.

Andrea Barzagli’s challenge on Eden Hazard left the Belgian on the deck appealing for a penalty but Pedro Proenca, who took charge of last season’s final, waved the appeal away.

It is the second time in two games Di Matteo has wanted a spot-kick for an apparent foul on Hazard and the Italian was unhappy with the decision.

“It’s a penalty. He got pushed and there was contact as well,” he said.

“It’s the second game in a row now that they seem to not see it.”
