The Italian does not agree with the decision to strip Terry of the captaincy

England manager Fabio Capello has hit out at the Football Association over their decision to strip Chelsea defender John Terry of the captaincy.

The FA acted after Terry’s court case over alleged racist abuse towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand was scheduled until after Euro 2012 – a case the 31-year-old strongly denies.

“I completely disagree with the FA about the John Terry decision, and I have told that to the chairman,” he said.

“I considered and still consider Terry the England captain. I think we first should wait for the trial conclusion.”

Capello previously sacked Terry as captain after it was alleged he had an affair with Wayne Bridge’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel.
