Gael Kakuta says he is willing to leave Stamford Bridge in search of first team football.

The 21-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea since arriving from Lens back in 2007, making just 16 appearances in total.

After a loan spell at Fulham in 2010-11, he spent last season out on loan at Bolton Wanderers and French side Dijon.

And with Marseille reportedly keen on another temporary move for the France Under-21 international, Kakuta could be set for more time away from Stamford Bridge.

“I am flattered by Marseille’s interest, but there has been nothing official, so maybe it is just paper talk,” said Kakuta.

“I want to play first-team football week in, week out, either at Chelsea or anywhere else.”
