Chelsea skipper for the night delighted following victory over Bayern Munich
Chelsea star Frank Lampard has spoke of his joy after winning the Champions League for the first time.
“Today’s the day,” Lampard told Sky Sports.
“It’s a combination of what we’ve been doing lately. We dug in tonight. After where we were we weren’t going to play beautiful football. It’s been a long hard season.
“Our centre halves have trained for three days.
“It means everything. I’ve been here 11 years. We’ve been so close, so many times. Without Roman, we wouldn’t be here.”
