Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he would have been interested in signing Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Had the Ivory Coast international, whose last touch for the Blues was to win them the Champions League final, wanted to remain in England the Red Devils would have been interested.

“I think that the decision was his anyway because he said he was going to leave Chelsea and not play in the English league -- that eliminated everyone. I could have been.”
