Transfer news: Bastian Schweinsteiger is not interested in a move to Chelsea
Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger has cooled talk of a move to London despite a meeting with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
The Blues chief spent time with the midfielder, who missed the vital penalty as the west Londoners won the Champions League, but the 27-year-old poured cold water on any speculation.
“I was surprised to see him and wondered why he was here,” Schweinsteiger said.
“I’ve congratulated him and we had a brief chat. No, he didn’t make me an offer.”
