Chelsea’s Oscar has been passed fit to face Stoke City after picking up a knock on his ankle during the 2-2 Champions League draw with Juventus in midweek.

The Brazilian scored two goals on his Blues debut and his inclusion will see him make his bow in the Premier League.

John Terry and Frank Lampard start on the bench and the former, whose Football Association hearing into the Anton Ferdinand saga is understood to be starting on Monday, was replaced by Gary Cahill, with Juan Mata coming in for Lampard.

Michael Owen was made to wait again for his full debut for Stoke, who recalled Geoff Cameron as Andy Wilkinson began a three-match ban.

Chelsea: Cech, Ivan, D Luiz, Cahill, Cole, Ram, Mik; Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Torres

Subs: Turnbul, Azpilicueta, Terry, Bertrand, Romeu, Lampard, Moses

Stoke: Begovic, Cameron, Shawcross, Huth, Wilson, Walters, Whelan, Adam, Nzonzi, Kightly, Crouch

Subs: Sorensen, Jones, Owen, Whitehead, Upson, Etherington, Shotto
