Oscar is expected to be fit for Chelsea’s Premier League clash at home to Stoke City but Daniel Sturridge’s hamstring injury has once again ruled him out.

The Brazilian’s full debut, in which he scored a brace in the Champions League game against Juventus on Wednesday night, ended miserably as he picked up an ankle injury when he was trodden on by Leonardo Bonucci.

Sturridge was absent from the 2-2 draw and there is no clear timescale for his spell on the sidelines.

Summer signing Marko Marin (hamstring) is edging closer to making his debut.

Provisional Chelsea squad: Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Bertrand, Mikel, Romeu, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Piazon, Torres, Turnbull.
