Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira has insisted that Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea will have to pay £31million to sign Axel Witsel.

The Belgian midfielder shone in Portugal and has now been linked with a move to the Premier League.

“We want every club to know what is the release clause for Axel,” Vieira said.

“If they want him and if they come here and pay that fee, then there is nothing that we can do.

“But we are very happy with Axel and we do not think about selling him.”
