The Red Devils boss believes Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Newcastle and the rest of the Premier League will all benefit from the absence of the striker
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes that the departure of Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is a blessing for the Blues’ rivals.
The striker scored in a record four FA Cup finals and scored the winning penalty in the Champions League final.
Despite this, the west London side finished sixth in the league, behind Newcastle, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United and champions Manchester City and the Scot is relieved he doesn’t have to face Drogba anymore.
“When you think of the season he’s just had, I must say it is a big boost for us that Drogba is leaving Chelsea,” Ferguson told The People.
“He scored that fantastic goal in the final with two minutes to go and his goal scoring record in the big games, in big finals, is incredible.
“As far as I was concerned, he won the Champions League for Chelsea.”
