Chelsea transfer news: Fiorentina say there has been no contact between themselves and the Blues over Stevan Jovetic
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has denied that Chelsea have made a bid to sign star forward Stevan Jovetic.
Rumours had circulated that the Blues had made an offer of around £25 for the 22-year-old Montenegrin.
“Absolutely not, it’s not true,” Prade told Radio 1. “We do not know anything about an offer from Chelsea or any other team, Italian or otherwise.
“We are waiting for the lad to to return on July 1 and we will see what he has to say to us. But the rest is just gossip.”
The 22-year-old Jovetic arrived in Florence from Partizan Belgrade in 2008 and has since established himself as one of the most exciting young attacking talents in Serie A.
