Ezequiel Lavezzi will be a threat to the Blues at Stamford Bridge
Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi will be a danger to Chelsea when the two sides face each other tonight in the Champions League last-16 second leg.
The 26-year-old scored twice in the first leg and will, no doubt, be the Italian side’s biggest goal threat at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentina international joined the club in 2007 and has scored 34 goals for the Italian giants in Serie A and former Blues manager Andre Villas-Boas has highlighted him as a danger.
“They have a strong front three with (Marek) Hamsik, (Edinson) Cavani and Lavezzi. They are a danger,” he said.
The 26-year-old has made 16 appearances for his country and has bagged two goals, against Albania and Bolivia.
Lavezzi was ignored by former Argentina manager Diego Maradona for the 2010 World Cup but he became a regular part of the side under his successor Sergio Batista.
This season the tricky wingman Lavezzi has scored 11 goals for club and country in 33 games and has found the net six times in his last five games.
