Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has slammed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger for commenting on highly-rated England youngster and reported transfer target Wilfried Zaha.

The 20-year-old’s outstanding form has helped the Eagles to second place in the Championship this season, but Holloway insists rival managers should keep their interest to themselves.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and most recently Manchester City have also been linked with Zaha, but Holloway says he is going nowhere in January.

Wenger was questioned at a recent press conference about the Palace youngster and his comments angered Holloway, who told The Sun: “Why is he talking about my players? It’s not the game.

“I will be picking the phone up to talk to him as I don’t think it is right and proper with the greatest respect. That is totally bad etiquette.”

He added: “Wilf is a big part of our season - and we have such a strong contract others can go and whistle.

“He won’t be available, no matter what the price is, in January.”
