Clayton Donaldson’s second half goal gave Brentford a valuable away win against fellow promotion-chasers Swindon Town.

Donaldson’s strike, his ninth of the season, came just before the hour mark and proved enough for Uwe Rosler’s men to secure only their second victory on the road all season.

The goal, rifled home from insie the box, came from a knock down from Paul Hayes after a long ball forward by Bees full back Shaleum Logan.

Swindon, who threw on Tottenham loanee John Bostock in the second half, came close to a late equaliser through Chris Martin.

But Donaldson’s goal proved enough for the Bees, who go level with Swindon on 32 points as they push for a spot in the play-off places.
