Terry Brown felt his side should have picked up at least a point
AFC Wimbledon manager Terry Brown felt his side deserved something out of the defeat against Bristol Rovers.
Mustapha Carayol’s early goal was enough to give the Pirates the victory but were grateful to defender Cian Bolger and goalkeeper Scott Bevan for providing the platform for the win.
“I am very disappointed with the result,” said Terry Brown. “I felt that we deserved something out of it in the second-half. But credit to Bristol Rovers as they came out of the traps very well.
“They attacked us for the first 30 minutes, particularly Carayol caused us problems, and he scored a goal that was worthy of winning any game.
“I do not think the pitch suited either team as both sides like to play football. I thought it was an exciting game, we have had so many games like that this season when we have had the rub of the green and won by the odd goal and others when it has not gone for us and we have lost by the odd goal.
“Their boy at the back Bolger won every header in the box and their goalkeeper made a wonderful save.”
