Barnet star: We will miss Edgar Davids against Oxford

Barnet winger Ricky Holmes knows that his side will miss the presence of Edgar Davids in Tuesday’s game with Oxford.
The Bees go into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley on Friday, where the Dutchman was sent off.
“We’ll miss his presence on the pitch,” Holmes said. “He brings a great vocal perception on the pitch.
“Hopefully we can get something out of the game.
“Because you are there day in day out. You don’t get stuck in the headlights.
“The first day he came you’re like ‘Blimey, he’s one of the top 10 footballers in the world’.
“He received an honour at the Netherlands Germany game, which shows his standing in the game.
“Away teams might be starstruck. He’s just another player/manager to us. They get struck in the headlights as well.”
Holmes wants revenge after United dumped them out of the FA Cup in the first round stage.
“They don’t come harder than Oxford,” he added.
“We want revenge – we had a few players missing that day.
“We’ve got a full strength team. If we don’t wake up tomorrow with a few knocks.”
