Paul Caddis has been highlighted as one of the leading players at the Robins

Barnet striker Scott McGleish has pinpointed former Celtic man Paul Caddis as one of the biggest threats to the Bees when they face Swindon at Underhill tonight.

The Robins are in the running to win promotion back to League One at the first attempt and this will be the fourth time the sides have met after the Wiltshire club triumphed in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Southern Final.

“They’ve got quality throughout,” McGleish told London24. “Caddis is excellent and has Champions League experience [playing against Barcelona in the last 16 in 2008].

“[Paul] Benson is good for them up front as well.

“We’ve got to make sure we’re on our game.

“If we get a positive result, it bodes well for the Easter weekend.”

The 38-year-old described the game against the league leaders as one of the toughest his side can face on paper but is confident going into the game.

“On paper they’re toughest you can get,” he added.

“We deserved to beat Torquay [on Friday where the Bees lost 1-0].

“We feel we play better against the so-called top sides.

“If we show half the desire we showed on Friday we’ll do well.”
