AFC Wimbledon caretaker manager Simon Bassey has dedicated his side’s victory to departing manager and assistant Terry Brown and Stuart Cash, who were sacked on Wednesday.

Sammy Moore scored the only goal of the game against Wycombe, who sacked Gary Waddock after the defeat.

“We made hard work of it times but they players have given me everything and I’m thankful for that,” said Bassey.

“It’s great that Terry and Stuart were there at the end, so that the boys could show them their appreciation for all their efforts.

“He’s [Moore] got a knack of scoring good goals, I think it’s his first shot on target this season. It was the perfect time and I’m sure he’ll dedicate that to Terry and Stuart.”
