Laurent Koscielny and Kieran Gibbs could play in the north London derby

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that defensive duo Laurent Koscielny and Kieran Gibbs may be back for Sunday’s north London derby with Tottenham.

The 26-year-old suffered a knee injury in the Gunners’ 4-0 defeat at AC Milan.

“Koscielny may be back, and Gibbs. We make a decision about them tomorrow,” Wenger said.

The Arsenal boss knows that the match with their fierce rivals is a massive game in regards to their top four hopes, as well as bragging rights.

“Tottenham are doing well, so it will be an interesting game. Every game is massive now.

“It is an important game because we have an opportunity to strengthen our position in fourth place.”
