Thomas Vermaelen wants to stay in north London

Arsenal star Thomas Vermaelen has insisted that he wants to remain at the Emirates “forever” and is happy living in London.

The 26-year-old made 40 appearances in all competitions last season, helping the Gunners finish third in the Premier League.

“I will stay at Arsenal forever,” he said. “There will be no transfer for me.

“I love London. I’ve got a house there, I’m happy there and I don’t see any reason to ever leave the club.”
