Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has claimed that the Gunners are still a class above Tottenham after Saturday’s derby day victory.

The Poland international returned from two months out injured to start in the north London derby and he believes it will have a positive impact going into the upcoming games.

“First of all I’m delighted to be back in the team and I thought we were brilliant from start to finish,” Szczesny said.

“Over the 90 minutes we controlled the game very well. I thought we showed everyone there’s definitely a difference in class between the two teams.

“This win [over Spurs] can do exactly what it did for us last year. We pushed on then and although it’s come earlier in the season, hopefully we can kick on again this time.”
