Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not let his Euro 2012 adventures go to his head

Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is keeping his feet on the ground after a dramatic 18 months.

In 2011, the 18-year-old was playing for Southampton at Dagenham & Redbridge but last month started for England against France at Euro 2012.

Despite the meteoric rise, the forward is going to carry on doing the same things for club and country.

“I approach this season with the exact same mentality as I did last year,” Oxlade-Chamberlain said.

“I’m still one of the youngest in the squad and still very inexperienced and I have to keep working hard and keep my head down.

“I just want to keep learning from everyone else in training and whenever I get my chance, I just have to play well and that’s what it is for me this season.”
