Arsenal transfer news: Laurent Koscielny wants French team-mate to join him in north London

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny believes French international team-mate Yann M'Vila would be a good signing for the Gunners and will use his time with the player at the Euros to try and get him to join the north Londoners.

The Rennes midfielder has been linked with Arsene Wenger's side for some time, while it is thought Inter Milan are also keen on buying the 21-year-old.

M'Vila looks set to leave the Ligue 1 this summer and Koscielny hopes he will join Arsenal.

"I don't know what plans the club have in terms of signings," he told "I only see what appears in the newspapers because Wenger tells us nothing about that. But I would like one of my French team-mates to join us for next season.

"Yann is a player with enormous quality. He is strong on the ball and has great vision. He can triumph in an important competition like the Premier League.

"Would he be good at Arsenal? Of course.

"I will try to convince him to come when we are together at the Euros," he laughed.
