Arsenal striker: I have been happy with my performances

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has insisted that he is pleased with his performances so far in a Gunners shirt.

The former Montpellier man has failed to find the target since moving to the club in the summer but did set up Arsenal’s equaliser, scored by Lukas Podolski, against his former club.

“I tried not to really think about the context of the match,” the 25-year-old Frenchman told L’Equipe.

“I was just so happy to come back here, even if I didn’t score.

“I had a decisive assist in our first goal and I was quite satisfied with my own performance.

“We won and now we are in a good position. We remain undefeated and that is perfect for us.”
