Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out moves for Manchester United’s Danny Welbeck, Monaco’s Radamel Falcao and former Birmingham striker Nikola Zigic.

The Gunners are reportedly in the market for a striker after Olivier Giroud was ruled out for the rest of the year with a fractured foot, but Wenger dismissed speculation after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Besiktas on Wednesday.

Arsenal have been linked with England international Welbeck, who is also a target for Tottenham, but Wenger simply said “no” when asked about his interest in the United star.

Falcao has also been tipped to make a move to north London but Wenger insisted Colombian hitman is out of Arsenal’s price range.

And earlier on Wednesday, the agent of veteran Serbian striker Zigic had sensationally claimed Wenger had made an enquiry for him.

But when asked about a possible move for the 33-year-old, Wenger said “who?” before flatly denying the claims.
