Yann Kermorgant has committed to the Addicks

Charlton star Yann Kermorgant is relishing the prospect of playing Championship football with the Addicks after signing a two-year deal, with the option of a further year.

The former Leicester forward scored 12 goals as the south Londoners lifted the League One title and the 30-year-old is loving his time at The Valley.

“I’m really happy to sign a new contract at Charlton,” Kermorgant said.

“I’ve loved my time at the club and have already enjoyed some special moments here. Hopefully, there will be many more to come.

“The fans have really made me welcome too, and I will always cherish my first career title last season and the amazing scenes that followed.

“I look forward to playing back in the Championship and continuing to help this great club move forward.”
