Chelsea transfer news: Belgian will join the club in July

Chelsea have announced that they have agreed terms with Lille playmaker Eden Hazard.

The forward has been strongly linked with the club for some time and will join the club in July.

Manchester City, United, Arsenal and Tottenham were said to be interested in the Belgian since he announced that he would be leaving Lille for a transfer to the Premier League.

Hazard is thought to have cost the Blues upwards of £30million and spoke of his delight at joining up with the west Londoners.

‘I’m delighted to finally arrive here, it’s a wonderful club and I can’t wait to get started,” he told the Chelsea website.

Hazard started for Belgium in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to England at Wembley.
