Chelsea transfer news: Jeffrey Bruma will remain at Hamburg

Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma will spend a second season at Bundesliga outfit Hamburg.

The Dutch international played 22 times for the Germans, who narrowly avoided relegation.

Bruma was brought to the club by former Chelsea man Frank Arnesen, who was delighted that Hamburg could keep the centre-half for another campaign.

“Jeffrey will stay with us next season,” he said.

“(He) has developed and shown his capacity to perform in several different positions.”
