Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic has hit out at Chelsea, insisting that there is no fear and claiming that it is not the same side as last season.

The pair meet at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night in their opening game of the Champions League and the Italian giants will be going there without coach Antonio Conte, who is serving a 10-month ban for not reporting match fixing.

“Stamford Bridge is not the best place for us to open the group but there exists no fear,” he said.

“We are the champions of Italy and that gives us a prestige we need to exploit. This is our return to the Champions League and therefore very special.

“Chelsea are European champions and deserve our respect, but we go to London without fear and with a lot of confidence.’’

Vucinic claims the Blues could be there for the taking, despite the fact that the Old Lady were thumped 4-1 by Fulham in 2010.

“This is not the same Chelsea as last season because in the last few weeks they have failed in several matches and that increases our chances for Wednesday.

“Will we play for a draw? Never! Our challenge is to win all three points.

‘‘We are the best team in Italy and it’s a matter of pride for the players.”
