Samba Diakite and Djibril Cisse could miss out, while Adel Taarabt is suspended

Samba Diakite and Djibril Cisse are struggling to be fit for Sunday’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, while Adel Taarabt is suspended.

The Moroccan was sent off in the 1-0 win over Tottenham last weekend, with Shaun Wright-Phillips his likely replacement.

Diakite has not trained due to illness, while Cisse is struggling with a knee injury.

Provisional squad: Kenny, Cerny, Murphy, Young, Gabbidon, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Taiwo, Hill, Derry, Diakite, Barton, Buzsaky, Smith, Mackie, Wright-Phillips, Hulse, Cisse, Bothroyd, Zamora, Helguson, Campbell.
