Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has admitted he dreams of playing in the Premier League as he prepares for his England debut in the Three Lions’ friendly against Sweden.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a host of top Premier League clubs in recent months with his breathtaking performances for the Eagles turning heads across the country and earning him a call-up from England boss Roy Hodgson.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are among the sides most strongly linked with Zaha, who is so confident in his own ability that he even mentions himself in the same breath as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

“I think about the Premier League all the time, wondering when I’m going to come up against better defenders,” he told national newspapers.

“I’m not saying I’m leaving Palace but that’s where I want to play.

“I’d never look at someone else and think he’s better than me, unless it’s Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.”
