Aaron Martin wants to enjoy success at Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace defender, Aaron Martin, who is on loan from Southampton, is hoping to use his experience with the Saints to help the Eagles win promotion to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old has made 29 appearances for the Saints as the south coast club won back-to-back promotions to take their place in next season’s top flight.

“I’ve learned what needs to be done to get back-to-back promotions, and hopefully I can take that to Palace and do as well as I can,” he said.

“They’ve got a young squad, so hopefully we can build on that and push forward together.

“I think it’ll be good for me to get that vital experience I need, and it’ll be good to play a lot of games hopefully.

“It’s nice to be able to relax my mind a little bit because I know exactly what I’m doing next season - All I want to do is play football, and I feel I’m going to get it.

“It’s a good step.”
