Millwall transfer news: Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell is in talks with the Lions over a swap deal involving Scott Malone and Josh McQuoid

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has revealed that the Cherries are in talks with Millwall over a swap deal involving Scott Malone and Josh McQuoid.

McQuoid joined the Lions from the south coast club last year but fell down the pecking order at The Den, moving on loan to Burnley in the latter part of the season and the 22-year-old is set to leave this summer.

“There has been toing and froing and some discussions but, at this moment in time, that’s all it is,” Mitchell told the Bournemouth Echo. “It’s an ongoing situation but is not finalised yet.

“There have been discussions regarding a swap with Scott Malone and Josh McQuoid, but it’s at the negotiation stage and whether it will come off or not is down to the two players and the two clubs.”
