Liam Trotter believes his side have the ability to beat Ian Holloway’s men

Millwall midfielder Liam Trotter is looking to round off the season with be a sixth consecutive winwhen Blackpool visit the Den this weekend.

The Tangerines have already secured their spot in the play-offs and the 23-year-old is expecting the Lancastrians to play a weakened side for their trip to south London.

“We’ll be looking for the three points so we can really finish our season on a high and look back on a little bit of pride,” he said.

“I think they’ll probably play their second XI. They have so many players you can’t really keep count.

“Whatever team they put out they’re going to be strong but we’ll put our strongest team our as we want to go for the win and finish the season well.”

Millwall have struggled at The Den this season, losing nine games and Trotter is determined to give the supporters some cheer before the summer.

“The fans at The Den haven’t had the best of it this season,” he added.

“We’ve been better away from home.

“Our form shows we’ve won more games away from home [eight to seven].

“It would be nice to finish with a win and give them a bit of appreciation.”

The 21-year-old also believes that the Lions’ home from is the nature of football.

“Every now and again, teams play better away from home for a period,” he admitted.

“We had our period at home where we were almost unbeatable and now, at the moment we tend to get our away results.

“Next season we’ll look to address our home form and if we can maintain our away form we’ve got a chance of doing something.”
