Clint Hill is ready for the big kick off

QPR star Clint Hill is excited by the prospect of the coming season.

The R’s stayed up on the last day as Bolton failed to beat Stoke, making their defeat at Manchester City meaningless as far as the west Londoners are concerned.

“I’m ready for it,” Hill said. “We’ve been away for about eight weeks but it goes so quick.

“You start to get itchy feet – you can only do so much running and preparation before you get into it. I’m really looking forward to it.

“The new players will be coming in and there’s also a nice tour to Malaysia and Indonesia to go to – it’s good signs and hopefully we can hit the ground running.”

“Every season is a test for me – I’ve got to prove people wrong and try to give a good account of myself, which I’m willing to do again.

“New players have come in and your place isn’t guaranteed. But I’ve got good experience from last season – hopefully I can try and achieve half of what I did last season, and I’ll be happy.”
