QPR manager Harry Redknapp was critical of some of his players after the R’s capped a disastrous Premier League campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho’s 23rd-minute goal settled the encounter, and Redknapp has warned his relegated side that it won’t be easy to win promotion back from the Championship next season.

“We’ve got no divine right to come straight back up. We’ll have to work hard,” he said.

Redknapp added that he has been unhappy with the lack of professionalism shown by some of his players since he took over at Loftus Road back in November.

“I’ve inherited a group with some good professionals and also with people who are not so good,” he said. “That has been the problem.

“Lots of them can’t get up early enough to get to training on time.

“One player’s picked up more fines than he earns and he earns enough.”
