Transfer news: Leandro Damiao continues to be linked with a move to Spurs

Internacional insist that there have been no bids received for Tottenham target Leandro Damiao but have turned down offers from other clubs.

The north Londoners have had a long interest in the Brazilian and only have Jermain Defoe as striker just two weeks before the start of the season and head coach Andre Villas-Boas wants a new striker in, in time for the Newcastle clash.

“There was no offer from Tottenham, but there were other offers that he rejected,” Davi told Terra.

“Let’s wait for his return, with the gold medal, to decide what we will do. He is an Internacional player, but we are ready for what may happen.”
