Tottenham transfer news: Sebastien Bassong wants to talk to Harry Redknapp about his future

Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong says that he wishes to talk to boss Harry Redknapp about his future at the club.

The 25-year-old struggled to break into the first team at White Hart Lane, making just 13 appearances before leaving to join Wolves on loan in January.

Bassong was a regular at Molineux, making nine appearances and now he is keen to play more matches in the Tottenham first team.

“I will be speaking to the gaffer at the beginning of the pre-season - we all need a holiday,” he told Sky Sports.

“I was playing week-in and week-out at Wolves and personally, it was something I really enjoyed, being part of the game.

“So now, I have to speak to him and find a solution. I have two years left on my contract, so it’s not a matter of urgency.”

“We will look for something that both parties are happy with, and if I have to stay at Tottenham, I will be delighted too because I love this team.

“However, if I have to find a way out I will deal with it - that’s football. But ultimately, I want to beplaying football, I’ve tasted it for the last three months and feel I deserve it.”
