Transfer News: Harry Redknapp responds to Luka Modric speculation

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is concerned that Manchester City could turn star midfielder Luka Modric’s head.

Citizens boss Roberto Mancini admitted yesterday that he was an admirer of the player, sparking speculation that the title chasers were lining up a summer bid and the Spurs boss admitted he was concerned that he would lose him.

“I would think if someone is going to offer him £200,000 a week it could probably turn his head a little, yes!” Redknapp said.

“Only Luka knows what he wants to do with his life.

“We want to keep him here. We need to keep him. We love him. He is a fantastic player.”
