Spurs boss: It was a game that went well for us

Tottenham head coach Villas-Boas raised more than a few eyebrows on Saturday when he said he thought Spurs were in control of the north London derby from start to finish, despite Arsenal winning 5-2.
Although the scoreline flattered the Gunners slightly, Tottenham never looked like catching Arsenal up after the dismissal of Adebayor and their defending was very poor at times.
The Tottenham boss remained defiant about his team’s performance after the match.
“It was a game that went well for us so we are proud of our players,” the 35-year-old said.
“Obviously, at 3-1 with 10 men, you have nothing to lose, so you have to have a go and I think they incarnated that spirit, particularly after the 4-1, where they never put their arms down.”
