Spurs star provides update on his future amid transfer speculation

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris expects to remain at White Hart Lane next season despite reported interest from other clubs.

Lloris has been linked with Ligue 1 sides Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco, both of whom can offer the France captain Champions League football next season.

But, speaking after France’s World Cup exit at the hands of Germany on Friday, Lloris suggested his future lies in north London.

“I don’t want to speak about my situation now. I think I will speak soon about that and we will deal with it,” Lloris said.

“I need a few days to recover and after that to relax, have a good rest and come back for next season.”

Asked if he expects to be a Spurs player a the start of next season, Lloris said: “Yes, I should be.”

Lloris has made 64 appearances for Spurs since joining from Lyon in 2012.
