Jermain Defoe is available for England’s game against France

Tottenham star Jermain Defoe has returned to England’s training base in Krakow, Poland.

The Spurs striker had returned to England after the death of his father on Thursday but has made his way back ahead of Monday’s Euro 2012 opener against France.

Defoe’s return will be a boost for Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson, who will be without Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney for the opening two games after his red card against Macedonia.
