Giovani dos Santos could miss the Olympic final through injury

Tottenham winger Giovani dos Santos has been dealt an injury blow during Mexico’s London 2012 semi final win over Japan.

The 23-year-old was forced off at half-time during the 3-1 win and manager Luis Fernando Tena is not sure if he will recover for the final.

“Unfortunately, he has a muscle injury,” he said.

“[We] don’t know the magnitude of the injury yet, we have to wait and run some tests.

“He’s doubtful at this point. We have to find out.”
