Milan striker confirms West Ham interest

West Ham are the front-runners to sign AC Milan striker M’baye Niang, according to his agent.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a loan move to Upton Park as Sam Allardyce seeks to add much needed pace and power to his front line this summer.
Allardyce has been told he has to change his style of play to keep his job in east London as co-owners David’s Gold and Sullivan back supporters in their stance on last season’s poor showing.
Niang has endured some tough times off the pitch but his talent on it is there to see – however agent Stephane Courbis doesn’t believe Milan will want to keep him.
“At the moment, we don’t know yet if Niang will remain at AC Milan,” Courbis told milannews.it.
“We met with the club about a month ago and now we’ll have to talk to the new coach (Filippo Inzaghi).
“I can confirm that West Ham like him.”
The France under-21 international is set to decide his future this week after meetings with both Milan and the Hammers.
