Barnet player/joint head coach Edgar Davids wants his side to show improvement when they face Oxford on Tuesday.

The Bees were dumped out of the FA Cup by United and the Dutchman was unhappy with that performance.

“I think we definitely want to play better than the last time we faced them,” Davids said.

“When I saw Oxford play last time, they really are one of the best teams we’ve played against.

“Their decision making on the ball and their timing on the ball. I thought it was a really good team.

“You still have to do it. I was really impressed with the players of Oxford. I hope we can redeem ourselves.”

Davids has been at Underhill for a month and is now looking at moving into phase two of the redevelopment of the club.

“I think there is a difference to how they played before to how they are now,” he said. “We’re working on some detailing and you have to start with the basic.

“From one month, we now move into the second phase. We have to keep working and preparing ourselves better.”
