Former Arsenal and West Ham man tells Barnet fans what to expect from him

Barnet’s new signing Ahmed Abdulla has told fans that he is a ball playing midfielder.

The former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder completed his move to Underhill on July 4 and is looking forward to working under manager Mark Robson.

“I’m a ball playing midfielder,” he told the club’s official website.

“I like to get on the ball and pass it around -something I’ve learnt from my youth days. Being brought up playing total football will definitely help with this.

“I really want the fans to enjoy watching me play and I want to do well for them and the rest of the lads.”

Abdulla admitted that his time at Dagenham was completely different from his time with the Gunners and Hammers.

“Arsenal and West Ham are both sides who instill a ‘footballing nature’ into you,” he added.

“They’re all about playing football and learning total football at the highest level.

“In some respects, Swindon was like this too, so my style should fit in well.

“But at Dagenham, it was totally different!

“So I like to think my time there, learning a different style of football, helped me improve my all-round game and I’ll use all this to bring to Barnet.”
