The sports team at London24 have chosen this week’s star 11 from the 14 Premier League and Football League clubs around London. Tweet us @London24Sport to let us know what you think.

In the Premier League this week, Rafa Benitez’s Chelsea nightmare continued as the Blues were beaten by West Ham.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was another manager to come under pressure from his own supporters, who voiced their displeasure during the Gunners’ home defeat to Swansea.

Spurs came out on top against London rivals Fulham with an impressive 3-0 victory, while QPR drew 0-0 at home to Aston Villa.

In the Championship, Crystal Palace returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Brighton but Millwall were held by Charlton at The Den.

In the FA Cup, Leyton Orient were victorious, with a win over Alfreton, while Brentford need a replay against Bradford. However, AFC Wimbledon were beaten by MK Dons.

And in League Two there was a defeat for Dagenham & Redbridge.

Goalkeeper – Jussi Jaaskelainen (West Ham)

The Hammers stopper was in good form as his side put Chelsea to the sword and there was nothing he could do to deny Juan Mata’s opening goal.

Defender – William Gallas (Tottenham)

The Frenchman produced a solid performance as the Lilywhites picked up a comfortable victory over Fulham.

Defender – Jim Fenlon (AFC Wimbledon)

The full back worked unbelievably hard to keep a superior MK Dons side at bay. Nothing he could do about either goal as the entire Dons side did themselves proud in Buckinghamshire.

Defender – Chris Solly (Charlton)

The 21-year-old was in immense form for the Addicks as they kept an in-form Millwall at bay. A crucial clearance off the line ensured a point at The Den.

Defender – Dorian Dervite (Charlton)

The 24-year-old returned to the side and was instrumental in keeping a clean sheet against Millwall.

Midfielder – Dean Cox (Leyton Orient)

The midfielder was instrumental in the O’s victory over Alfreton in the FA Cup at the weekend. He cancelled out Paul Clayton’s opener before making it 4-2 late on after a David Mooney brace.

Midfielder – Kevin Nolan (West Ham)

The Hammers skipper gave Chelsea a torrid time all game with his running. His performance allowed others like Carlton Cole and Mohamed Diame to claim the limelight.

Midfielder – Mohamed Diame (West Ham)

With two goals against Chelsea, it makes Diame one of the first names on the team-sheet for this week. A fine performance from the Hammers star.

Striker – Carlton Cole (West Ham)

The frontman hauled his side back into the game against Chelsea with a fine finish for his first goal of the season.

Striker – Jermain Defoe (Tottenham)

It’s difficult to argue with two goals in a London derby. Aside from that he was quiet but his job is to score goals and he executed the finishes brilliantly.

Striker – David Mooney (Leyton Orient)

Another two goals from the O’s striker who has now scored five goals in his last five games. His performance helped set up the victory over Alfreton and earns the O’s a trip to Hull.
