Transfer news: Miralem Pjanic is prepared to snub interest from Tottenham and Barcelona and stay at Roma, according to his agent.

The Bosnia international has been linked with Spurs in recent seasons and recently revealed he came close to joining Arsenal before signing for Roma in 2011.

Barcelona are the latest side to be linked with Pjanic, but the 23-year-old’s agent insists he is happy to stay in Serie A.

“Miralem is concentrated solely on Roma,” Michele Gerbino told calciomercato.it.

“He is very happy with the Giallorossi and has the utmost respect for the club, so I am convinced they will continue together with reciprocal satisfaction.

“As for the interest from Barcelona, I haven’t heard anything about that and have personally not received any calls.

“There are no imminent meetings with Roma either, as we must first give the new coach time to arrive and get to know the players.”
