Barnet’s new signing Olly Lee believes that he is a ball playing midfielder after completing his move from West Ham.

The midfielder has experience in League Two with Dagenham & Redbridge and Southend United, when he was on loan from the Hammers.

“I like to think of myself as a ball-playing midfielder,” he told the club’s official site. “Hopefully I can chip in with a few goals and a few assists too!”

And the 20-year-old believes his West Ham experience can stand him in good stead.

“At West Ham they teach you how to play football properly - passing, movement, other areas that help you become a better all-round footballer,” Lee added.

“Obviously, with the club’s style of football they are looking to introduce here, growing up at West Ham will definitely help that and help me fit into Barnet’s style.”

“It also makes a big difference to play under the likes of Gianfranco Zola and alongside Scott Parker, who both had a massive influence on my career.”
