Martin Jol’s side have secured comfortable home victories against Norwich and West Brom but struggled on their travels, losing to Manchester United and West Ham.

But Bullard, who played for the Cottagers between 2006 and 2009 and now turns out for MK Dons, thinks Jol’s squad is good enough to push up the table.

“It’s early days and Martin Jol is doing a great job,” he told Fulham’s official website.

“Hopefully Fulham will do a little better away from home than they have the past couple of years.

“I think Fulham have got to kick on as they’ve got the players behind them now to maybe get into those top six or top eight places.”
